Ode to my Salsa

Oh how I wish you would last a lot longer....We eat your deliciousness too fast! This is such a big event of the year..pretty much the whole day is dedicated to this delectable treat! If you dare to try the recipe check "my favorite recipe" on the side of the blog! 1 batch makes 12 bigger jars {not enough for my house}. YUMMO!


Here is to Bronson what a big boy! He is coming to my house next week to be babysat while Shay goes back to work. I am so excited to spend this time with him. I either become his least favorite aunt or his fav....we'll see but I am so guessing I'll be his favorite!

Our first vacation of the summer!

HOLY crap! I am so exhausted from this fun filled weekend....although it wasn't long enough. We drove about 6 hours to get to this cabin and boy oh boy was it worth it! Gorgeous plantation cabin! Gorgeous views I could go on and on with the details of this place. We went into Yellowstone on sat. (mike's first time) Buffalo crossed right in front of our car when we pulled into see old faithful. (perfect beginning don't ya think)IT was amazing! Mylie did so well in the car I couldn't believe it. I was more annoyed than she sure was. We got to go on a beautiful hike to an amazing river! we shot guns (found out grandma was better at skeet than grandpa)ate lots and lots of food. It was great! Thanks family for all the fun memories we made this weekend! I think Mylie's favorite part of the trip was playing poly pockets with her cousins and Tyson pushing (running) her in the stroller around the cabins porch. Mine was ...... all of it! Okay the driving wasn't all that fun but at least it was beautiful scenery. Lets do it again but lots longer next time!

My Little MyMy isn't so little!

I can't believe this but I am having full on conversations with her now. She totally understands me {When she wants} She has even picked up on selective hearing ha ha! Mylie has been up to a lot this summer. She loves her chalk board so much. Always wanting to draw shapes. Her favorite is the star cause she sings twinkle everytime she sees it. She loves it even better when mom or dad colors with her.{"Cumon dad cumon mom lets color"} My new favorite although it worries me she says "Lets go outthide"(Lisp ahhh) really that's the only word that sticks out the most. She now says cheeeese when I don't have the camera ready so I think I am making progress on getting her to look at the camera. She also loves to take my picture with her big Lego blocks :) She loves to squish behind me when I am sitting on the couch She even tell me squish mom. Pull me back and she'll do my hair. Dad has even taught her how to order pizza on her phone.Many many more things she has discovered!


On another note... we went to grandma B's house one day and she bought a ton of these fun car things. EVEN the adults couldn't wait to try them out!Gotta love lifetime toys.




One more thing that we have done a lot of this summer is take Bridger out to swim. He is getting really good at retrieving his bird. I couldn't be more grateful for him. This dog has brought a lot of laughter to our home. Mylie loves telling him what to do and hold his leash when we go for walks. She especially loves to throw his ball to him {and her dinner}.

Pink Pink you stink!

My mom got Mylie these really cute shoes. I debated on the 4th to buy her the red ones but couldn't talk myself into it! Thats what grandmas are for.....Spoiling! Thanks. This posy poserson still wouldn't look at me. But still so very cute!

Missionaries from "O" Town

I caught this picture while I was at a photo shoot with a boy who will be preparing for this day in the very near future. I forgot I even had it! I reminds me of Mike, my hub, and his secret love. I think he loved his mission more than he claims. This past Sunday he stepped in to teach the lesson on the spot.(surprised me) (which was on missionary work) His face is so ummmm...... bright and happy when he talks about it. I think he remembers how much fun he had, the hard work and rewards he received and most of all how much it changed the way he looks at life. I am so thankful for the gospel in our little family's life. Though its hard at times to be the best (ha ha) it is still important to us!I am pretty sure Heavenly Father still loves us even though we curse all through sacrament meeting...thanks to our dearest little Mylies out bursts! HE HAS TO HAVE SOME SORT OF SENSE OF HUMOR! Any ways it has brought many blessings into our lives and our families. So all I have to say to these missionaries good luck and may your missions shed new light on your life and your future lives! It is worth it 100 fold! :)

ZOO FUN!

YEah we got out of the house! My friend Kim and her daughter went with me and mine to the zoo. What a success all of the animals were up and moving! I was so glad... Our last adventure didn't go so well! It was so nice to hang out with Kim! I don't ever get to see her so it was a really nice treat for me!
